Took my first trip to Philadelphia. Took lots of photos, but I've only processed this one of the clock on Independence Hall. So much history there. Had a fabulous time.
Yet another one using a mason jar. I have quite a collection of them and use them in many decorations in my home, vases, and love to use them for still life photos.

Hiking through the boreal forest in the Whiteshell Provinical Park , Manitoba, Canada -- we came across this treasure -- my husband took a photograph of me on which I've based this painting. I also shared this piece with my students to illustrate you don't have to show your face to be recognizable -- they all knew it was me. So many shy students went on to portray themselves in novel ways...

Why does mine appear as a text and everyone else's a picture? I'm new to this site, don't know how everything works yet.

It's lovely seeing all the creative outputs folks have.
This photograph was taken on a summers day in the strawberry fields. I had started collecting the small sweet fruits in a white bowl when I noticed how pretty they were. Inside the bowl are also found still clinging to the strawberry plants several new green berries. The plants broad green leaves are seen as well as the bare dirt of the ground. (for seo)

Repetition of patterns, leading lines and cotrast of color and light are some of arts most important concepts. The concepts are shown here in this photo of a wrought iron gazebo silhouetted against a gray blue sky.

Life In Balance Series
I recently completed a series of three paintings exploring a concept of balance in life.
The three pieces are titled:
1. Teetering Man
2. Brittle Back
2. She Brings Me Balance
I enjoy art that attempts to portray the experiences, morals, values, and relationships we find in everyday life. I also like abstract pieces that warp or bend away from reality. So this series was an effort to merge these two different genres to express a particular thought. Unfortunately, my biased perspective makes it difficult to tell if objectively I accomplish the intended effect. For this reason I'm displaying these pieces here. Comments and suggestions please?!
