Full-time college student and Freelance photographer, Johanna Carmouche is a 24 year old daring idealist, born and raised in Northern California with a twist of a Cajun upbringing. As a young girl, she was introduced to the famous dark lord of contemporary horror films that is Stephen King, as well as other rebel authors of the morbid fantasy genre. An immense fascination with the grim Hitchcockian style of art and gothic influence ultimately fabricated a style unique to her own.
In support of this evolving concentration, Johanna uses long exposure digital photography and a number of presets in Adobe Lightroom, to create a surrealistic ambience that dominates the science fiction horror cinema of that period. It was this prevailing taste that swayed her choice to capture the cryptic beauty that dwells within these beastly industrial structures, similar to scenes displayed in bizarre novels such as those mentioned.
