In addition to earning a certificate at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in 1999, Chris has traveled extensively, photographing nature and wildlife, from the quaint corners of The National Arboretum to the wild lands of East Africa.
'I can't remember a time when music, animals and nature weren't an important part of my life- I never met an animal I didn't like. When I look into the eyes of animals I feel grounded: there is no judgement. It's the same comforting feeling I get when I look at the night sky. I've been a fortunate person- fortunate to be able to make a living in the arts my entire life. I've had the ability to travel to the Galapagos Islands, Africa and many beautiful US National parks. Each year I support National Wildlife Federation, National Audubon Society, The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, The Galapagos Conservancy and World Wildlife Fund and I am an ambassador for the herd of sacred white buffalo held in the care of the Sacred World Peace Alliance in Bend, Oregon.
