I thought it might be fun if we posted our favorite work that we've done. What we feel is our personal best, our masterpiece.
No explanations needed unless you feel like it.

Nice photo Jeffery. The first time I used an slr camera, it was loaned to me so i could photograph the harbor seals hauled out on the restricted access Plum Island in New York. I got hooked and bought a new Nikon film camera the same week. I later brought out another biologist/photographer who told me he had access to Elephant Seal sites on the West coast.

Getting sharp photos at sea is difficult. Shooting before sunrise and getting low noise and sharp photos is darn near impossible even in calm seas. I had an idea and a concept and the opportunity came along that I had hoped and planned for. I have had 2 sales on this since starting here in July. And another 500 elseswhere. Over $6,000 net.

Great thread, Holly! I'm always curious about which work artists claim as 'favorite'. I also love hearing the back-stories, so look forward to watching this thread develop.
My emotional, long-time favorites are these two series, both completed during my early self-training in digital art. They are among the first digital pieces I sold in the real world, which was a great validation in a not-so-long-ago time when digital art was rarely even allowed in most shows and exhibitions.
For years, I thought of creating something based on Da Vinci's Flying Machines illustrations. Inspiration struck, unexpectedly, as I was looking through some photos I'd taken of an enormous, hard-working, Aermotor windmill.
The 'Antiquity's Gold' images took days of effort, but I knew they were special from the moment I began work on them. These (and several other variations of them) have been my most popular over the past decade, and have found homes on four continents. They've sold on every online site I've been part of -- except for FAA . . . so far. ;-)

Cheryl,
Below the description box on each artwork page there is a code, that when you highlight will turn blue. Then use the ctrl+c (PC) or cmd+c (Mac) to copy, and paste it into the Discussion thread of interest.

Wow everyone. There are alot of talented artists and photographers here on FAA. I have two favs of mine. The first is a new technique I was trying, and the second was a accident. Machine was a background that I diden't really like, so I started drawing on it with oil paint pen. It was a happy suprise!

Hi, Leanne,
On any image page, scroll down the right-hand side beneath 'Description', and find the code in the 'Image Link' box.
Click to highlight that code, then copy and paste that code into this (or any) Discussion thread.
Easy peasy! :-)

One of my first OOF (Out Of Frame) attempts. For a more artistic appeal, I cloned away the extra cables, rig structure, harness, ropes, etc.
The image has been created in many formats including 2D, OOF (Out Of Frame) also known as OOB (Out Of Bounds), 3D stereo anaglyph, and 3D stereo crossview.

It's not my #1 seller (yet), but it is my favorite piece.

I have no any clear favorute among my images. I always try to upload images, which I like most of all in the moment and always hope that my best artwork is to be created yet. Here I decided to show a fractal image, which is less visited and commented then others and which I like no less then the other fractal images on my FAA page.

I have two favorites:
I took this one last year and loved the details and the "attitude" this egret portrayed.
My second choice is not technically great, but loved the time taking it and the place where I took it. Iceland, 2012. Celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary, my wife and I walked out to the cold and stayed up taking pictures and being completely mesmerized by the Aurora Borealis. Can't wait to go back!
