Cape May Court House, NJ - Presidential Scholar ’95 alumnus and Cape May County, New Jersey resident artist, Linette Childs, returns to her native State of Maryland, to present her most recent paintings of predominately New Jersey landscapes, portraits and illustrative imagery, at the Yellow Barn Gallery, November 28th, through November 30th, 2014.

Linette’s work encompasses all aspects of style in painting, using representational, illustrative and abstract styles, as a reflection of her personal...

Exclusive: Marisa Martin spotlights apocalyptic vision of Peter Olsen
Published: 10/01/2014 wnd.com

MARISA MARTIN
Marisa Martin is a Christian, conservative political activist and practicing artist of over 30 years. She uses a pen name because she feels it is terribly rude for an artist to criticize other artists – and it slows the hate mail down.

If you took a dash of Salvador Dali, smidgeon of Hieronymus Bosch, smatter of street art and soaked it in dizzying pattern and shrieking colors – what would you have?
With the talent of artist Peter Olsen, you’d have a collection of fascinating artwork, at once somber, intriguing and at points humorous. Even the Apocalypse.
At 74, Olsen has accumulated enough skill to pull off what would...

Skagit Show Reflections

Skagit Show Reflections

October 19th, 2014

Seattle, Wa - Please join me and the snow geese this October in the Skagit Valley for my second photography show. The showing is located at the Welch's Rexville Grocery, which is located at19721 Best Road in Mount Vernon. The "Rex" as the locals called it, is found on the main road between Conway and LaConner off exit 221 off I-5.
The show helps support the local conservation company Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland. This company works hard to keep the farmlands protected. So they remain farmland for years to come. And in doing so, they also protect the migratory waterfowls, like the snow geese, tundra and trumpeter swans, and the millions of shorebirds that pass through the area.
My show will be displayed through the month of October. Help me support this great work but purchasing one of my framed photographs, calendars or note cards.
Feel free to come by for some of the Welch's great coffee and sandwiches as well.
