Gifts Of Willow IV - Pollen For Honeybees

Napa, CA - Painter Diane Woods loves trees especially willows since learning about the many ways they purify air, soil and water, protect and nourish wildlife. One of the gifts willows exchange with honeybees is the gift of pollen. Black willow flowers appear first in the spring in the eastern United States. The pollen provides not only nourishment for the honeybees but antibiotic protection for the brood growing in the hive. The Man Who Planted Trees by Jim Robbins inspired this series of paintings. Diane wants to thank all of those who are helping David Milarch, the man who is cloning and planting millions of black willows and red osier dogwoods along the fresh waterways of the eastern United States and Diana Beresford- Kroeger for the amazing information she shares in this book. She highly recommends this book as great news for anyone requiring oxygen or fresh water.

John Prince was honored to be asked again by Tim Tebow and his foundation for the second year running to creat some art work for the Tim Tebow Foundation Celebrity Golf Classic 2013 evening Live Auction held on the 12 th April at TPC SAWGRASS JACKSONVILLE.
There was a Football card that came out last year which is the first Football card to have a Football player praying on it . The foundation asked John if he would do an Original painting from the image of Tim praying on August 10th 2012 with the Jets and Cincinnati Bengals players at the Paul Brown Stadium OH, with a phrase in the background of the painting "DO EVERYTHING FOR THE GLORY OF GOD" John changed a few things to make it his own composition and the Foundation and Tim were delighted with the finished...

After Dinner Mints, I painted this painting for the SAA Competition Bitter Sweet. The Chocolate wafer thin mints are sweet against the strong bitter taste of the Black Coffee and the Black Tie sets the after dinner scene.
