From Catano To The Colony Puerto Rican Photographer Unveils Skyscapes Abstract Horizons
October 26th, 2023 - The Colony, TX
Every artist has a unique story, but few merge their past, present, and art as seamlessly as Keekeh Rojas. Hailing from the small, heartfelt town of Cataño in Puerto Rico and now residing in The Colony, Texas, Keekeh, known as the "time bandit," unveils a collection that is a symphony of motion, color, and emotion: "Skyscapes: Abstract Horizons."
This captivating collection was birthed from an experiment for a Plano Photography Club competition. Keekeh, in his quest to create something different for print, stumbled upon a technique combining motion and Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). When paired with the tactile feel of the photo rag 308 paper, the resulting image resonated with the painterly quality of an artwork, making sunsets appear like dreamy brush strokes.
"I moved to The Colony starting a new life after some personal challenges," Keekeh shared. "This town reminds me so much of Cataño, and this collection is my tribute to both places. It's a new beginning,...

Pat Cross Completes A New Painting Commission
October 23rd, 2023 - Eleanor, Wv
In this completed oil painting commission, Pat Cross composed a couple seated on their back deck to spectate the view of the sky ablaze with color over the forested landscape of their South Carolina mountain home.
The couple reached out to Pat Cross after seeing her art in an exhibit and felt inspired to own one of their own, but with the personal touch of their own paradise. Commissions present unique challenges well beyond the typical painting process making them more of a service than a commodity. Pat Cross finds that process of collaborating with a client very rewarding.
“Though, it feels bittersweet when I ship a completed commission,” says Pat Cross, explaining, “Even though I’m glad my client expresses such pleasure with the painting, I’ll miss seeing it in my art studio.”
To view other art commissions by Pat Cross browse www.patcrossart.com or, to see one of her award-winning painting series, visit one of her galleries, also posted on her...
