ARTisSpectrum

Mixed media artist Tinatin has an impressive versatility of subject matter and unimpeachable style. Working in oil, gold leaf, ink & brush on canvas and paper, her academic background in the Fine Arts and study of Fashion Design allows her to move freely between genres whilst still maintaining a codified signature. Stylization and color are distinctive features throughout the oeuvre with a powerful emphasis on the female form and its adornment. As an image-maker Tinatin luxuriates in the velvety folds of fabric, ornate patterning and texture - imagery which references classical Baroque painting as well as contemporary couture. A Maximalist by design, the artist states that through her work she aims to push her viewer toward a state of “maximum aesthetic pleasure.” - ARTisSpectrum Magazine

Amsterdam Whitney Gallery

Claude Monet proclaimed: “Color is my day-long obsession, joy and torment.” Whether depicting a luminescent still life with luscious fruits and flowers or illustrating an imaginative world of fantastic beings, Tinatin Vachnadze’s kaleidoscopically hued exuberant compositions explode with an expressionistic spectral palette which translates into works of art that evoke celestial, surreal and ethereal realms. Evocative, emotional and imbued with great visual energy, her luminescent gem-colored forms vibrantly ascend the compositions, inspiring viewers through rhythmic brushstrokes, melodic color schemes and compositional harmony.

Investing each composition with incredible vitality and an irrepressible hued syncopation, Tinatin Vachnadze’s expressionist compositions pulsate with gestural swaths of bold colors and brilliant plays of light. Tension and energy dominate her fiery and explosive canvases as her masterful color application electrifies the scene she portrays. With a...

Kurtis Rykovich Debuts Reverie At Modern Eden Gallery In San Francisco

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Kurtis Rykovich: Reverie

Opening Reception: Saturday July 11, 2015, 6 pm–9 pm

Exhibition Dates: July 11 – August 8, 2015

Modern Eden Gallery presents ‘Reverie’ a solo exhibition of new paintings by Kurtis Rykovich.

Exhibition Statement from the Artist: ‘Reverie’ is a collection of gorgeous creatures full of dangerous allure and intrigue. I depicted my muses in close-up portrait style as if they had posed and chosen the composition themselves, carefully casting their companions to represent who they are. They are greatly inspired for my ongoing love of beauty and fantasy, all depicted with a sense of dark appeal to emphasize that nothing is as it seems in any world, real or imagined.

Kurtis Rykovich grew up in rural Nevada and studied Fine Art Painting at University of Nevada Las Vegas. Early on, his imagination was encouraged by his mother who would tell him stories of fantasy and adventure. Inspired by this, a passion...

Fine Art Photographer, John Hintz, Introduces New JNH PALMS - Stylized Series

Originally issued: May 14, 2015. Revised content: June 25, 2015. Florida fine art photographer, John Hintz, announced today the introduction of a New Series of images titled “JNH PALMS - Stylized.”

In the words of the artist, “While working on my recently introduced “Swamptacular” Series, I developed a real fascination for palm trees. My interest has become so strong, in fact, I have decided to make palms and, in particular, all the beautiful and intriguing and sometimes stunning natural abstracts hidden within them, my new main focus. I hope my palm images will not only make viewers more aware of all the natural beauty that surrounds them, but help them see an even deeper level of detail not easily seen with the naked eye.”

The New Series consists of twenty-seven stylized, images of palms featuring amazing detail, and an unusual, almost fantasy-like palette of colors – a lot of pinks, purples, blues; touches of browns and greens: plus bold, black and white...
