Atlanta, GA - On Thursday April 17, 2014, the Pavilion of the City of Marion will present the latest installment in their Art & Soul series of artist installations.
Paint On the Wall is an exhibition of new works from artist Shawn Vincelette. The large scale heavy acrylic paintings are the inspiration for the name of the show. Featuring a variety of subjects and styles, the collection is a glimpse into the artist's creative exploration of expression.
In addition to the featured works which will remain on display through July 2014, the artist will have limited edition prints and mini prints from the Marion landmarks Series; a collection of eighteen drawings inspired by Marion's past.
The artist will be offering the original rendering of, "Mike asks, "Under or over?" in a silent auction during the reception; the proceeds from which will be donated to support "Middle Child, INC. - The Mike Strang Scholarship Foundation."

Auckland, E7 - Studies show that artists look at colors and objects in a different ways. Instead of focusing on one point, artists eye scans the whole picture a mix of contours and defines color combinations. Artist Ekaterina Chernova shares how the color is seen from artist prospective.
When artist Ekaterina Chernova studied in the art school, tutors often noticed the colors that this aspiring artist used in her paintings. Ekaterina Chernova still prefers bright vivid combinations for her impressionist artworks. “Very bright colors is what is left in my memory after looking at say landscapes which I like to paint. For example a field could be all one green color on a photo, but in my imagination it is a rich assortment of juicy lime, cold bluish greens and olive shades.” - says artist Ekaterina Chernova.

Colombo - Renuka Ranjaya’s persistent passion for painting was due to his environment at home. He hails from a family of artists. His father and brother were reputed artists. Don stphen Raymond was one of the prominent artists for church murals and a sculptor.

As a schoolboy he turned out sketches of leading personalities and scholars. He completed his O/Ls at St. Xavier’s College, Maravila.
After coming to Colombo he became a member of the Ceylon Society of Arts, Colombo. He joined the art classes conducted by the society and received training in drawing, painting and sculpture. He was fortunate to come under the tutelage of Kalapathi Pulasthi Ediriweera and Jayantha Tissera who moulded him to be an artist.

Denver, CO - I am very pleased to announce that my work has been chosen to participate in "ART IN THE PARK 2014". This year is the 5oth Anniversary for Art in the Park and the Thompson Valley Art League! The festival has developed into a two day event featuring over 200 artists and artisans. The event this year will also include musical performances and a Beer & Wine Garden.
Art in the Park has emerged as an artisan event that draws people from all over the country. Art in the Park also shows the same weekend as the internationally renowned Sculpture in the Park and Sculpture Invitational. These three events combined draw over 30,000 people to Loveland.
