Ted Head, FWS Demo At Citrus Watercolor Club

April 17th, 2015 - Homosassa, FL

Ted Head, FWS Demo At Citrus Watercolor Club

The Citrus Watercolor Club May Officer Installation luncheon will feature Ted Head, FWS as demonstrator. Ted comments that, "In 2001 I was fortunate to travel to Paris and Vienna. Up to then I had only drawn with pen and ink, but had not ventured into painting. Inspired in Vienna by a beautiful outdoor flower shop, I shot a blurry photo and decided to try my hand at painting. Pouring over art books when I returned, I decided to give watercolor a go. It was love at first stroke and it has been a love affair ever since. After a few years of experimenting and growing as an artist, I started entering art shows. Encouraged by winning several awards, I decided it was time to try the art show circuit, and I continue doing several shows a year around Florida." Head has been featured in art related magazines such as Artist Magazine, Splash, Best of America Watercolor Artists, and Best of America, Water Media. The luncheon will be held at the Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club, stating at 12 Noon...

Kadek Susanto mostly know by the name Kris. Kris has been creating art since he was young boy. At the age of 12 he even began winning awards for some of his paintings. In 2006 He began to travel the United States , he was instantly amazed by the diverse landscapes and wildlife that is from one end of the country to the other. Instead of drawing or painting what he saw, he bought a camera and began to take pictures.

He currently resides in South Dakota, but continues to travel often.

He never stops exploring The black hills areas and still surprised by the beauty he continues to find.

According to kris

''Taking photographs and painting are the same in my opinion, the exposure, lighting, and the depth of a photography are the same as a painting, However painting requires imaginations to create a works of art while photography are requires patience and a constant search for that perfect still moment to capture in frames ''

Fine Art Photographer, John Hintz, Introduces New Swamptacular Series

April 16th, 2015 - Venice, FL

Fine Art Photographer, John Hintz, Introduces New Swamptacular Series

Florida fine art photographer, John Hintz, announced today the introduction of a New Series of images titled “Swamptacular.”

The new series consists of twenty-two images taken on an unusually cold and gray day in November, 2014 at Six Mile Cypress near Fort Meyers, Florida. In the words of the artist, “Most of the images I captured, although interesting, lacked the color and crispness I was aiming for. I got some really nice reflections, silhouettes, close-ups and natural abstracts, but they just didn’t have much “pop”. Determined to make this series of images worthy of uploading to my website, I started experimenting with my processing software and eventually found that simply switching each image to a color negative effectively brought out the hidden detail while the new palette of intriguing colors provided the energy I was looking for. Hence the name, “SWAMPTACULAR!””

Placed in a room with the right color scheme, prints of and throw pillows with these images would...

Waterfalls

April 16th, 2015 - Edmonton, AB

Waterfalls

Waterfalls are commonly formed when a river is young. At these times the channel is often narrow and deep. Whirlpools created in the turbulence as well as sand and stones carried by the water continue to carve a path for the water and causes the waterfall to carve deeper into the bed and to recede upstream. Often over time, the waterfall will recede back to form a canyon or gorge downstream as it recedes upstream.

The beauty of a waterfall is captured in photographs at Design Pics. Visit the link below to see our selection:

Where The Wild Things Are

Where The Wild Things Are

Alaska is home to all three bear species that live in North America - Grizzly bear, Black bear, and Polar bear. In addition to the bear locals, the top big game animals find their home on the cliffs, forests, and tundra landscapes - moose, caribou, sheep, and mountain goat.

Lets not forget about our ocean going friends such as the Humpback whale, Beluga whale, Gray whale and the renowned King salmon and Silver salmon.

The list goes on and on about the wildlife that makes Alaska its home. You can own a professional photograph of any one of them.
