Pahoa, Hi - Linda S. Watson's art has been in numerous group shows, including the following venues: Volcano Art Center, East Hawaii Cultural Center and the Wailoa Center on the Big Island of Hawaii (2012 to the present); Gallery 212, Overlook Gallery, Mendocino Art Center, Palo Alto Cultural Center, Jewett Gallery, Olive Hyde Gallery, Finley Community Center, Traveler's Art Gallery and Valentine O'live Gallery in California (1977 - 2010). She has had eleven solo shows in commercial galleries and alternative venues, the most recent of which was in 2013 at The Red Space in Hilo, Hawaii. Her next solo show will open September 5, 2014 in the Fountain Gallery of the Wailoa Center in Hilo. It is called "Discerning the Spirit in Nature" and will showcase her newest abstract works.

KATHMANDU: What better medium can there be than colourful and vibrant paintings to capture the bygone era and to relive history? Divided under three sections — history, lifestyle and culture, the paintings on display at the Nepal Art Council are the window to the lifestyle of the Newar community. Organised by Aarohan Gurukul and Nepal Heritage Association, the exhibition titled ‘Kathmandu Valley down the Ages’ has showcased 58 paintings by Hari Prasad Sharma.
Wearing a black Nepali topi, Sharma, an artist of history, culture and religion, and born into a Brahmin family, spoke in fluent Newari language. “I was born in Lagan Gophal tole, a Newar community. I was very influenced by their culture, festivals, feasts and attire. All these things I had seen during my childhood have been transformed in my paintings,” explained Sharma.
