Pleasanton, TX - The Art On Main Gallery is seeking submissions for “Innovate, Invoke, Inspire!”, a Pleasanton Juried Art Competition which takes place from August 10 – September 5, 2013 at the Longhorn Museum in Pleasanton Texas. Artists must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of Texas. Works in both two- and three- dimensional forms, are eligible. A total of $1,000 in cash prizes and additional merchandise awards will be presented at the opening reception and award ceremony August 10, 2013, 2-5p.m. The juror is pastel Artist Karen Cooper from Fredericksburg, Texas. Mrs. Cooper holds a B.F.A from San Francisco State University, CA, In addition to numerous publications and awards, she has shown or will be showing in four other private invitational Western Art Shows in Texas, Arizona and Colorado. In 2011 Karen’s work became part of the permanent collection of the Pearce Museum. 2013 will mark her fourth appearance at Cheyenne Frontier Days where she has been the official rodeo poster artist....
