Paintings Wins Award

I am proud to announce that Paintings: A Collection Of Lyrical Tales a book by Kelley Lee McDonald was chosen as a 2015 Readers' Favorite International Book Award Contest Finalist in the Poetry - Inspirational category!

"Poet and artist, Kelley Lee McDonald inspires readers to connect to the dark to get to the light. She shares insightful wisdom that she gained throughout her lifetime with her poems.

Paintings is a delightful book of poems and art, creating a visual feast for readers' eyes and imagination. The poems range from love to personal power, to hope and to a higher plan that encompasses many facets of life that can be so confusing and painful. Through many of her poems of despair and darkness, Kelley Lee McDonald offers a tunnel of hope and light at the end so readers can delve down to their own demons and dark periods of life. Readers can understand what the poet is writing about, but at the same time not be sucked into negativity. The artwork that...

Twists Of Life

Kadek Susanto mostly know by the name Kris. Kris has been creating art since he was young boy. At the age of 12 he even began winning awards for some of his paintings. In 2006 He began to travel the United States , he was instantly amazed by the diverse landscapes and wildlife that is from one end of the country to the other. Instead of drawing or painting what he saw, he bought a camera and began to take pictures.

He currently resides in South Dakota, but continues to travel often.

He never stops exploring The black hills areas and still surprised by the beauty he continues to find.

According to kris

''Taking photographs and painting are the same in my opinion, the exposure, lighting, and the depth of a photography are the same as a painting, However painting requires imaginations to create a works of art while photography are requires patience and a constant search for that perfect still moment to capture in frames ''

Painterly Style photo art have a lively colorful brush stroke texture in the tradition of master painters. This type of artwork would look terrific on a large canvas, and a print on paper media would look just as stunning!

Lincoln led the United States through its Civil War—its bloodiest war and its greatest moral, constitutional, and political crisis. Dress You Up In My Love...

September 4th, 2015 - Astoria, NY

Dress You Up In My Love...

My aesthetic practice over the past several years has been focusd on multi-media sculptural and painted works primarily inspired by the experience of life as a woman, the charged and nebulous relationship between subject and object, and the formal and sensual qualities of the materials (such as wire, fabric, wax, papier mache, clay, frosting, glitter, faux fur). Conceptually, the work also wanders the historical terrain of women artists who investigate femininity, and the female body and experience as a political, social, cultural, and psychological space to address the enduring issues of feminism. For more about my fine art, visit www.feminineconstructions.com

Utilizing digital programs as a tool to develop my gallery work has allowed me to return to my textile and design roots with the development of decorative patterned collages for prints and housewares. Currently I aim to create imagery that projects a feeling of playful contemporary luxury, such as this collage (one of...

Rolling Fog Beyond The San Francisco Coit Tower By Wingsdomain Art And Photography

Rolling Fog Beyond The San Francisco Coit Tower By Wingsdomain Art And Photography

This is one of those "kids, don't try this at home.....or while driving!" shots. The shot is of the rolling San Francisco fog blanketing the Marin Headlands in the distance with the iconic Coit Tower in the mid ground, done while driving around 55 mph on the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge! But that's the only way you can get that shot, short of closing down the entire bridge. Well, as an afterthought, I guess the other safer option would have been to have someone else do the driving!

Bon Voyage Cake

Bon Voyage Cake

Public Works picked up the Lincoln Douglas Stl250 cake July 10th for the Let Them Eat Art Event in Maplewood. The cake is on the loose! Great job guys!!!

I originally painted this cake in 2014 for the Stl250 Cakeway To The West 250th Birthday Celebration in St. Louis, Missouri. The 4ft. tall fiberglass cake statue had been outside exposed to the elements for over a year so I refurbished it. I painted four cakes altogether. You can view all the cakes on my Pinterest Public Art Page: Genevieve Esson Art Public Art On Pinterest
