Description
Harbor View by Karen Cook - It is winter and high tide in the tiny fishing village of Harbourville Nova Scotia. Tiny icebergs or pieces of ice bob up and down in the salt water, as the village waits for the tide to recede once again.
Harbourville is a tiny fishing village on Canada's east coast and is home to less than 100 residents. One of many villages that dot the Bay of Fundy coastline of Nova Scotia, and home to the highest tides in the world.Twice a day the tides rush in, filling the harbor with up to 40 feet of water and then recede at low tide, leaving the boats literally on the ocean floor.
Harbourville is such a scenic little village and is popular with artists, photographers and tourists alike. All there for the harbor view.
