My Winter Coat by Karen Cook - after a night of inclement weather that included snow, freezing rain, rain, and more snow we awoke to a winter wonderland. The trees, especially the little ones bare of any foliage were covered in a thick layer of frost and snow. Captured against the warming colors of dawn in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, the scene was one of stark beauty as the trees showed their winter coats.
