Waiting for Winter by Karen Cook - As Autumn draws to a close, the trees, now stripped of their foliage prepare for winter. The tones of browns, and golds, are so evident in the hues of the trees and the grasses that hug them. This trail, well used by walkers, hikers, snow machines and all terrain vehicles, is a true four season trail. Once a busy railroad track, when the rail service was discontinued, the tracks were removed and the property was turned over for use as a trail. The Mill Yard Trail is located in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia
