I say oddly because it's certainly not one of the better images in my portfolio. Not by a long shot IMO, and yet it sells time and time again. If I knew it was going to sell so well I'd have covered the Colosseum from top to toe!

Lost count of the total number of sales, but it's been a big earner.

This one has sold 10 times since I uploaded it in 2012. Mostly large prints up to 48". I remember the morning I took it. It was grey and there was a light rain. We were underway and I was hoping the sun would break through a cloud opening. Shooting at sea while underway full speed, handheld with an 80 -400 lens zoomed out halfway at ISO 200 in the rain seems foolish and pointless. My camera was wet and the captain really didn't want me out on deck. But I got a nice series which sells well. My best sellers are rarely easy shots.

Frank I think I remember that photo from one of my critique threads way back, I am pretty sure I told you I didn't think it would sell.

It's a tie -- each of these images has sold 4 times, on FAA:



However, outside of FAA, it's no contest. The train shot, 'Foundation 1' has sold many dozens of times (usually with it's companion piece, 'Foundation 2'), while 'Roses' has only sold 18 times (but usually in a larger print size).

Profit wise it would be Sunrise Abstract. I almost didn't post it as it is just a vertical crop of another image!

Sold 45 of this one in various sizes and formats., it is a big seller during the month of December every year.

I'll have to say these two since they are my first prints sold and apparently at the same time today.

This one actually isn't my best seller in volume, but it when it does sell, people order very large prints with high mark-ups, so it is by far my #1 in terms of profit.

This has been my best seller in different variations - with and without fireworks and in B&W. It's my bestseller at art fairs as well

Have sold this 24 times, manly large metal prints.

All of the ones that have sold for me have only sold once... however, this was my biggest profit! I wasn't even going to upload it, but a friend told me to :)

This has sold twice......48x32 metal print and 30x20 glossy finish canvas. I wish I was there right now!

So thankful to have this photo... So many wonderful memories!

This is mine and it is hands down my best seller.



I have six more that sell on a regular basis. Combined those seven images account for between 10 and 20 percent of my revenue.

We have sold this image dozens and dozens of times and feel very blessed!

I have quite a few top sellers, but this one of the Cleveland, Ohio skyline is #1 with 18 sales in two years.

When I shot this it was mainly for myself, as I love to see ingenuity at its finest. Almost didn't list it, because I didn't think anyone would purchase this over my other images. This was sold in a 48" x 32" canvas making it my highest profit
