Well, thanks to Phyllis, I painted my first ever bird last week. A blue heron called 'Wade'

Wade likes the quiet life. A few brews and fishing with the lads.

Here are some of my pastel artworks featuring birds, a chick, a cormorant and a seagull.

Amazing work Bette, Roz, Abbie, Margaret, Lutz, Loretta and MM.

I enjoy seeing all of the different styles!

Spring, Summer, and Fall Songbirds. I have Winter too but since we're limiting it to 3 images these are the most popular 3 of the 4.

@ Crista, go ahead and add winter. I just removed the limit because I figured that there can not be that many bird artists here... ;) FYI I am a big push-over.
Robert, Donna, Ann, JoJo, Cascade colors, Michael and Crista - I am in awe of the avaian art posted this morning. They just keep getting better!

The originals of all these images are in private collections. The American Egret was a sketch for a larger, full sheet watercolor painting.

one of my oldest birds.....just the essence of Puffins.... and the oldest, sold in 1988.
I may have to repaint this one....
