Loading Problems...

There has been uploading problems resently - I have tried to upload same photos (multiple upload) on friday evenning and now. Everything seems to go fluently to the point the photos are uploaded to your server, but then the registration prosess fells.

Everything else (groups, comments etc) seem to work ok.

PS. The files were from about 6 to 14 Mb, not too much.

Hope you'll solve the problem soon, I have some stuff here waiting.

Cheers!

Staying away from the multiple upload system is a good way to start.

Yes, currently having the same upload issues. Stuck in "Please Wait" at the final stage. Even tried using the single image uploader, same problem.

sean is poking the site quite a lot, it would be related to that. either that or the server ran out of fuel.

I've been having the same upload issues as well using the single uploader. I tried two different browsers, but as it appears that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue I will just give up for now.

Still waiting. Anyone else get through?

Kind of the same thing for me. See my discussion about my thumbnails getting all mixed with the wrong images.

http://fineartamerica.com/showmessages.php?messageid=1900776

As a follow up to that discussion, today I re-uploaded the problems and fixed them and also uploaded 3 new images using the single uploading option. They looked fine, everything matched, then a few hrs later I looked and there was no thumbnail for the 3 newest uploads with a "error on page" at the bottom left of browser. When I clicked on them the large image on the page was fine, but the small images to the right for prints, framed prints, canvas, etc, was not showing at all. Im getting a little bummed about this problem. I have veiwed the pages from 2 different PC's and also on my phone with the same results on all.

Strange things happen...

Two of the 5 images I tried to upload yesterday have showed up, 3 still missing. It seems that they appeared some time after I closed my computer, because I also got some comments on them last night. Thank's for those!

There must be something wrong with the database registers now - maybe because they are making some changes on the site. Hopefully they get it right soon.

Maybe I'll try again later today...

Jouko,et al,

Just uploaded 22 images in less than 1 hour and only 1 failed and then I re-uploaded it. Make sure your Internet speed is as high as possible when you start. Mine is about 14-18mbps and when it drops down to 50-10mbps, the uploading just stops or runs and runs and runs..............

Reset your router or unplug it and then start again. Use any of the free Internet speed tests available,so you can accurately check,as you're uploading.

Still have about another 60-70 to upload, but need to do some yardwork!

Just tried to upload some photos... no luck. Uploading speed about 15Mbps, should not be any problem. In fact, there has not been any problems before with this connection, so the problem is not that. Earlier, with less than 1Mbps speed, the time limit sometimes got on the way with large files.

Maybe tomorrow...

Please wait .... .... ... ... Yes, I have this problem right now

One of those uploaded two days ago appeared last night with a comment... Yesterday uploading didn't even show the info-setting boxes, just the "uploading in prosess"-text (or something like that).

Maybe i*ll try again this evening...

Same problems as those above when I tried uploading on the weekend. I think I'll wait a few days and hopefully things settle down.

Just finished 33 new uploads. Don't think I'm doing anything special. Here's what I do:

1. I'm using AOL,which everybody seems to hate, but works for me.
2. Verify that the Internet speed is around 15-17mbps
3. Upload images,"Multiple Images" one at a time, after the first image has uploaded about 3 mb, I hit the next upload button, all the way through the 5 images chosen.
4. For my car stuff, I have all my words, keywords ready and I can then copy and paste, when uploading the same car, just different angles or B&W versions.
5. When done, I'll then hit upload and wait until that image let's me know it was "successful" and then I hit the next image, until all 5 are now uploaded to my site.

repeat!

I also cannot upload multiple images. Am getting the following error:

I see this same thread everyday for over a month. I think its time they either fix the problem, and or finish whatever they are doing to the site.

Mike Savad

sadly this has been going on for a year or longer.

and it usually starts on a thur, ends on mon or so, but rotates to different servers.

Trying to upload one image has turned out to be a royal pain today! I really wish the owner would just take the site offline or do the work on a mirror site and then update the main site with the changes by taking it offline for a set amount of time with an announcement going out prior to the update. The way these updates have been implemented is just awful, where the artists are the one's facing the brunt of the issues, not to mention the frustration that's coupled with it.

Mike Savad

thing is i don't know of it's an issue with the site, or the server. the server may back up right now and that's when it happens. the last time this happened, there was something to do with their cache getting full. but it cycles. but you can lose an image in that cycle.

Same problem. Tried uploading a 20.6 mb file and got "There was a problem completing your image upload. Please try submitting it again." Reduced size to 11mb and same errors. Switched from Firefox to Chrome. Same error.

also problem with upload, finished and submitted then page pops up with page not available or something like that.

Ok - I've tried uploading those ducklets for the third time - the image shows while I'm filling in the blanks - then I get this:

"OOPS... SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT There was a problem completing your image upload. Please try submitting it again."

and the image is a little black dot instead of the d*** ducklets that "I" can see right after I upload.

Update... I was using Firefox. Decided to try Internet Explorer and it is now working. I can upload individual and multiple images.

Same here. Over the past 36 hours I have tried to upload images (11-13 m) about 10 time, trying 3 different web browsers (Firefox, IE, Chrome). At about 70% it just jumps back to where you browse to find the image, occasionally adding the note that my files are to big. Just woke up here in Asia and hope it is all well now.

I do hope they get this and other problems they seem to be having for the last few months resolved. As much as I like the features on this site... can and will cut into my making an income. And I'm sure I'm not the only one, not to mention how much time is spent trying to upload each item.

Crystal Harman

Same problem, getting tired of putting in the tag words and description over and over again. Have never been able to use the multiple uploader, and it takes a long time doing each pic. separate.

Photography By Sai

Crystal, just type your keywords (tags) and description into a utility like Notepad or create a Word document and type it up in that to save you the frustration of having to redo it.

Cheers!

5 hrs later, finally uploaded one, but it didn't want too, took forever uploading a file under 6mg.

I just joined this site and was thinking of using it to sell images. I tried to upload for my first time ever here today and it would NOT work (tried 3 times), which is how I found this message. Let me just say - so far I am NOT impressed! I'm thinking maybe I need to go someplace else!

Jez C Self

lease try submitting it again. 0 - 1 - 1

It is great telling me this...but what does it mean?

Also, I have a few files that FAA keeping telling me are too big. They are not; all under 20MB
