I'm pretty much a country girl at heart. Coming from Indiana seeing the farms, landscaping, animals, trees, and water are just a few things I grew up around and has had an effect on my artistic view. I am a self taught artist and have never been to any school and love to paint what I see. Some paintings are realistic while others are more of an American Folk style and painted with the genre of watercolor pencils to acrylic. I have worked with pen and ink, watercolors with markers, and oils. But I perfer acrylics as my best.
This past 2012, I've had some experiences that have changed my life and I am now living in the Ozark Hills of Arkansas. This is far different than from my back home in Indiana. But just as beautiful in its own way. I have three Black Morgan horses that come up to the front door everyday along with my Mom's two dogs and two cats, and with mine is three. And the ten chickens that come up from the neighbors to peck at the front yard.
I feel that family and having a handful of really good friends that stick with you thru lifes journey's are truely a persons sounding board. And to give from the heart is really what an artist is all about. I do paint in miniatures, my smallest being (5/8' X 1/2') 1' X 2' to 6' X 6' for Fine Art America. The era I'd love to be in would be late 1800's or 1930's, 40's and 50's. The style of clothes was I feel the best of quality of textures, patterns, materials, and just pretty to look at.
Here are a few other websites I have if you would like to check them out.
