My journey into the arena of photography started when I bought an old Brownie camera at a garage sale with my saved paper route money. I was immediately hooked! My next camera was a Canon FTB 35mm and boy did I think I was styling. That camera and a high school photography class taught me the basics. Then life took over and soon I had completed four years in the United States Marine Corps, raised four daughters, and immersed myself in my own-small tool making-designing business.
My work is surrounded in math and precision; squares, tolerances, rectangles, circles, metals, speeds, and feeds. It was not until moving to a rural town in Northern Minnesota that I began taking pictures (other than snapshots) and discovered the right-side of my brain. I purchased a DSLR camera that is able to shoot in raw and discovered software to edit photos. Again, I am really hooked!
Hence, this is my mission to see if I can use the right-side of my brain and be creative. Now the years I have been riding my Harley past picturesque scenes, will be spent stopping and spending some time with my camera.
