Taken at Boca Chica Key In The Florida Keys, Florida. This is a Willet, A large member of the Sandpiper family.
The scientific name is Catoptrophorus semipalmatus and they are a shorebird, considered "at risk" but not rare.
I am very happy with the timing of this which reminds me of a ballerina going up on points!
