Thanks for the opportunity to promote. After posting, I will support those that posted ahead of me. I came across this early morning beauty after driving out to the coast to capture some sunset photos and instead encountering an evening of rain. This was my morning delight, however.

I had never really considered targeting owls on my photo outings, but when International Owl Awareness Day came up on August 4th, I thought that would be a great challenge. Fortunately, we found this one as we were on our way back out of the forest.

I've spent many days "lost" in the wilderness, and once had the experience of seeing an eagle dive down trying to catch a fish I had on the line! Spectacular!
