A lifelong love of writing, coupled now with photography and polishing images, continues to serve as my creative outlet in a less-hectic lifestyle called retirement. Each step in the process helps me appreciate the beauty and amazing details of God’s creation. Though I consider taking and editing pictures a hobby, it's my passion. That helps explain the nearly 700 images I've posted so far--three thousand taken on a one-week trip alone!
Photography, plus the research it entails, has become one more enjoyable journey in a blessed life. In 1969 I graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist and cleaned teeth for more than a decade--mainly in Texas, where I still live. After my first feature article, for my professional journal, made its way behind the Iron Curtain, I saw the power of the written word to change lives. Then came feature articles and poetry for national publications, leading to award-winning writing, graphic design, and consulting for advertising and design firms. Along the way: homemaker and mother of two, community leader, choir member, ensemble singer, and trip- and special-event planner. All of these skills and life-experiences now weave their way into my work.
Thank you for taking the time to view my work. I hope you'll treat yourself to some new art for your home or office. I have, and can assure you that FAA’s workmanship is top-notch. May the results please you and brighten your world.
