Description

This painting was done in acrylic on canvas, after a trip to the salt marshes at Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia,Canada. The shallow marshes are created by tidal waters of the Atlantic Ocean and are largely a protected area for wildlife. The fall (October) colors of the salt marshes had the same stunning orange and yellow hue as the magnificent maple leaves that are so abundant in the Canadian Maritime Provinces.
