Drew, the stills are great... i'm standing in line waiting for the feature...

Ed, I will start next week rendering the high definition frames for the film. Yesterday, I estimated around 3 months of computer rendering time. Almost all of the sets have been built and most of the artwork is complete. as the renderings take place, I will periodical post one on this thread. Thanks to all of you artist for your encouraging words and support on this project.

Thanks Dance! Retirement.....maybe partial but no plans to retire full-time. there is alot of challenging work to be done. its just a matter how long the good Lord gives me ;)

This experimental film was the most complicated of all the experimental clips. There was 5 different programs used, one I developed using C++:
One for the digital painting
Two for the 3D animation
One for the water reflections
One for the muti-layer control

Here is another experimental clip used in the film developement:

This is a shot from a clip within the film(WIP) that utilizes ray-tracing for the reflections. There is only a small amout of raytraceing in the film do to the rendering time required.

Simply wonderful. A lot of patience required for this.

Thank you so much Joe for your encouragement. Patience is the key and long term planning takes patience. I look at it as if I were working on a doctoral and this was my final thesis. the good thing is; no university can claim the rights to the film.......just me with the help and guidance of God.

After around 5 years of not drawing anything of importance (while I was in night school getting my engineering degree), I drew this pencil drawing.
This will make it in the film. I did a digital colored version of the drawing but most likely, the original version will be selected:

The City Set is the most complicated set in the film: Here is some low res frame renderings from said set:

Here are 3 more frames from the film featuring the Lilith Character, This character is unique. She was sculpted completely by me (not a Poser mesh) and I hold the copyrights to the 3d mesh.

While extensive time and energy was put into the creation of this animated character, she was too complicated to use as the main character in the film. The main character was design for production with ease of animation in mind. So much learning came from this proto-type and many clips were developed, they are being weaved into the film along with many experimental clips.

The final scenes to be constructed of coarse are usually the most refined. The scenes below are no exception.
They evolve multiple characters interacting with one another with an environment that was created with experience from previous work.

Here's another stage set in the film that contains a lot of my old traditional art as well as some old digital paintings and digital colored pen & inks.

The is the opening set of the film. Of course it is the last set and set of scenes that are being worked on during the film animation process.
The scene for the most part is empty but will be filled soon. most of the animation is already done but some close ups and alternates are needed.


For the film release date: at first this release date was slated for mid June 2013. It looks like the last part of July is more realistic and a teaser/ trailer should be out in June.

Thank you so much Roz. After the film is released, I will begin teaching 3d animation on several software platforms. one day I hope my students and I will be able to produce a major feature film that will launch their film making careers.

H Drew, these are great science fiction.
In my opinion, images are elements of creation.
If you put them together it will be movie or video game(there are other elements).
Since the process of combination usually looks linear, so I prefer the elements.

Thanks GuoJun. not interested in making video games but at one time I did work on a video game using POV as the animation code.
Now, I am busy redoing 2 months of work that was lost when my hard-drive failed. :(

Today is the day I go full-time with my new animation/robotic company. Just got back from vacation and ready to take on the challenge of being an entrepreneur.





After loosing my hard drive on my PC with two months worth of animation files data lost, I have rebuild said files and almost back were I was 3 weeks ago before the hard drive crash.

Back to where I was before the hard-drive crash! took 3-weeks, with a week vacation. Being alot more carefull with the file backups. learned that hard lesson............

Even though the hard-drive crash set me back a few months, it gave me the opportunity to work on three more paintings to be included in the film. Just finished this oil on canvas 2 days ago and hopefully the next two want be far behind:
