Thanks for the review. I planned on ordering for myself also to check them out. I just added it to some of my work over the past few days and sold my first 2 bags today.

Thank you for the review!
Happy to hear the straps seem sturdy. Please post again about how it's holding up with use.

Thanks for the review, Abbie. I just checked the UPS tracking for the one ord'd for my wife, and it is out for delivery to us right now. She's looking forward to receiving it and put it to use.

Thanks for the review, Abbie - I ordered several (for me and as gifts), but they haven't arrived yet. Can't wait to see them!

Thanks Abbie.
Can you clarify what you mean by the depth? It sounds like to me that the bag does not have a gusset in it, is that true?
California, and I assume the rest of the USA and other countries, are in the middle of campaign to do away with plastic and paper grocery bags. I was hoping these bags would compete with the bags that all of the grocery stores are selling as an alternative to the paper/plastic. That gusset would be important.
No idea what a gusset is in a bag. I thought it was a 2" bottom depth but, looking again it's more like 3". I will change that in the blog post. My plastic carrier bags here are about the same

A gusset is the piece between the front and back which gives the bottom piece of the bag. Like the bottom of a box.

Thank you for the review~ it would be nice to have an option on the interior color, as black can be kind of dark when searching for items.
I am glad to see it has Two handles and not one. Over all sounds great, thank you for the review.

I'd suggest transferring this blog to pixels.com
According to Sean, that is where this product is going to be sold, not on faa.
Glad you mentioned that the inside is black...black shows everything. :(

I have two with black interiors that I bought elsewhere last year and it looks SO much cleaner than my totebags that are white inside! Also it looks more finished and polished. To me, black interior is great news. I have some bags that sound identical and I love them, use them a few times a week.
I had a bag of rice flour leak into one of mine, and I turned it inside out, shook it well, and wiped it with a slightly damp cloth. Good as new!

I've been waiting for a critique on them!
I wish they were rectangle instead of square, does it look like a huge square bag on your shoulder, or do contents weigh it down a bit?
Thanks for the post

Tote tested and passed. Good to hear.
... sounds as though it might withstand manly men handling of looping multiple bags over each arm to avoid multiple trips to and from the car. Yes? No? Maybe?

The review looks good.
I wanted to order some of my own designs to use myself and give as gifts. I put in all my prices over a week ago, but I don't see them offered on my site, and I don't see them when I search for them in my category. I have no idea what I have done wrong.

Look very closely on the page where you put in your prices. Do you see a heading that says "Tote Bags"?
Are THOSE prices under THAT heading filled in?

UPS just dropped off my 3 tote bags. I was so excited until I had to pay an extra $24 duty!!
I'm disappointed with the straps that are only attached to the folded down half inch of fabric!! That's ok for the 13" that will hold only a few items, but the 18" will have strap issues in no time if I fill it with groceries, etc.
The images are clear and vibrant. The canvas-type material looks sturdy.
I would only recommend the 13" as purse or maybe a lunch bag for work.
16" would be the better size.

Barbara, I just used my 18" for a shop and it stood up as I hoped. Nothing gone wrong on it

I am very please with the ones I've received. My friends and fans on facebook are being treated to a giveaway of one of them. :)

Abbie, I will make sure I don't overload it. It should be fine. I'll take it shopping on Saturday to show it off, lol!
The printing on them is great!

I actually had a couple of little voices (as I walked past) saying
'oh, look at that bag!
Yay me

Yay!
I'm hoping someone asks me where I got it, or better still, where they could get one... lol hehe!
That reminds me, Andee... I need new biz cards with Pixels.com on them.

Related to another tote bag thread, I fear that any little voices concerning a man carrying one of those would be less than complimentary.
Sadly, I have come to realize that I am the living embodiment of yet another phobia --- totophobia
Is there therapy for that?

Hey, Robert (Kernodle),
I read that thread too. How about calling them LugBags ... So you can lug stuff around in it. But speaking of the word "tote" ... you should not be so snooty about that little word, when you have the last name, KERNODLE. ;) BTW ... I love your last name, I keep saying it over and over again. I'm probably pronouncing it wrong, though: KerNOODLE!

Very cool April. I used mine again last night to hold my bike wear whilst I was horse riding. Got some great comments from my horsey friends and someone (an original oil painting client) is looking at getting the work I did her on one.

They are great advertising, aren't they?! Took mine to the store last night and got complimented on it at the checkout stand. I made sure to give the woman my business card, so who knows what will come of it, but at least it's a way to get my name out there. Gotta love that.

My tote bags are here! I ordered four, one 13 inch and three 16 inch. I'm giving them to my grandkids for their summer activities. They will be the coolest kids on the beach this year....hehehe.
I'm very pleased with how the totes look and with the quality of how they are made. Now I'm thinking I better order me some to use so I can advertise them ;-)

I'm giving one away. https://www.facebook.com/abbieshores?ref=bookmarks

I just received my first tote bag..and I love it. The 18 inch is huge and the handles are sewn on very well (I hope) I put a laptop, four books, my cell phone, tablet and lunch in it....I am replacing my old backpack with it. I plan on getting more.

Sorry, I'm just now getting around to reading the additions to this thread, and so I am late responding.
Actually, my "snootiness" results NOT from the word, "tote bags", but rather from the general APPEARANCE of it - it looks like a lady's purse, no matter what design is on it and no matter what other name you might call it. And yes, you ARE pronouncing my last name incorrectly (the general populace preferred pronunciation, unfortunately) if you are saying NOODLE. I am always baffled at how people want to add that extra "o", instead of just reading exactly the ONE "o" that is there and pronouncing it like NO.
Our culture is programmed to see the consonant "n" and the vowel "o" juxtaposed as a noodle. In any other context besides saying "no", people want to say "noo",
Kur - NO - dull, ... although I am anything but dull. (^_^)
As for starting a new fashion trend and walking proud, ... nope, can't do it with any conveyance container that looks like a lady's purse, no matter how proud I walk. It's like suggesting that I start wearing lip stick and eye liner. I only did this for theatrical stage performances years ago. Real life is not that kind of stage.

LOVE my Tote bag!
Came in today and it's perfect! I ordered the 18" and it's exactly as I hoped. Color is a tad lighter, but not so much that it bothers me in this image. Actually I think I uploaded an image a bit lighter when I ordered the tote bag because I heard a few artists say they were a bit dark. So no need to do that next time. Roomy and well stitched. I'm going to follow the suggestions and put some kind of cardboard on the bottom for reinforcement when I carry heavier things. The straps are a perfect length for my 5'6 height and fits very comfortably over my shoulder.
I will be buying the other sizes as well :)

Robert, it is for some :)
Of course it is ... (i.e., life is that sort of stage). How could I be so shortsighted or forgetful? I have known people who are on stage all the time.
I see myself manning up and ordering some anyway, in the future, ... for carrying food home from the grocery store. I am feeling plastic-bag guilt more and more these days.

I just purchased my first totebag last week as a birthday gift for my mom. I received it a couple days and was mostly impressed with it. The color and fabric is great. As a sewer and used to be clothing designer (for myself and family only) I was disappointed in the stitching on the top. They used plastic thread and it wasn't straight. It looked like stairs all the way across and a lot of broken threads where sticking out that will need to be trimmed down to avoid getting scratched. Other then that, they look and feel great. I'm anxious for my mom to open it. I'm going to display it at an upcoming craft show and hope to get some sales from it.
