This story isn't true, I found a photo from shutterstock that shows the same picture with actual photos on the wall.

There are a lot of news outlets reporting on this though and honestly it wouldn't surprise me if someone was actually going this route and making a fortune

Great article Jeffrey. Seems like writing is her gift next to marketing.

Great marketing ploy, either way! If we were all so creative...

Jeffrey,
That just amazes me, but fits with how marketing sells to people who have extra money with no cents.
I would love to know who her marketing manager is, because I'm sure she didn't think of this on her own. if you have the right person or people behind you, you can sell anything.

I have to wonder, though, -- what does invisible art actually look like?

Jeffrey Campbell

I love some people creative ideas!

My photographs here seem to be invisible to everyone except me.
Look at this beautiful sunset pic of mine.

The art of creating nothing.

Which tags would you recommend, Robert, be used on your artwork?

Don't we already have a thread on this so called invisible art?

HW Kateley

We do! I suppose this one will be closed.

Jeffrey Campbell

We did.

The artists name is James Franco, and the OP closed the thread some 13 days ago, for those that did not do their homework.

This artists name is Lana Newstrom.

Well, that's what I get for trying to make a point with sarcasm. I'll go back to being invisible now. :)

Walter Holland

Me too, HW.

Sorry I don't have time to follow all the threads, not to mention any 'homework' required. :->

But sincere thanks for keeping me informed, Jeff.

Ran a thread on this before on another artist who did the same thing. Made the comment that I wanted to open an art supply store selling invisible art supplies to these artist.

Walter Holland

Excellent idea, Ronald.

I think Hans Christian Andersen's 1837 publication, Kejserens nye Klæder (The Emperor's New Clothes) beat them all to it...

An artist friend of mine did something similar a few years ago. He was given an entire gallery in which to show his work and he did a small essay about art and its subjectiveness, framed it, hung it and got rave reviews.

Ronald Walker

Whew! Finished it, my new invisible drawing. What do you think, nice huh?

Jeffrey Campbell

I do not see any tags... invisible, too?

Mary Armstrong

I like the better idea of, if you have to pay for it, use..... INVISIBLE credit card, INVISIBLE check or INVISIBLE money! :)

Ronald Walker
