My main interest is playing around with compositions, looking for something different or an unusual angle or focal point on an otherwise mundane or overlooked object or setting. I am particularly interested in old, derelict and forgotten items, although I will try to capture almost anything that catches my eye.
I carry a camera of some sort almost constantly, as do many people these days, and spontaneous shots are often the most revealing. I also dabble in post-processing effects when I get the time, sometimes just subtle color changes and emphasis, but other times significant editing such as removing unwanted objects, retouching and even dabbling with digital painting techniques. I see this as a natural extension of earlier memories of processing negatives on a home made light box many years ago.
