Lol, thanks for sharing that, Rebecca! It's giving me ideas... I have a feeling that grey squirrels are more tolerant than the Douglas squirrels we get around here. The squirrel that's been coming around these days isn't very brave. But I'm expecting some new faces around here soon because I just saw her running along the deck with a piece of fluff from the ironing board I keep outside, which means it's nesting time.

They call me the Squirrel Lady around here but I think this woman might deserve the title more. :-)

I have to ask . . . why do you keep an ironing board outside? Actually, why do you keep an ironing board at all?

Hmmm... I was wondering that, too. I no longer own an ironing board -- heck, it's been years since I've even owned a dress. I do know that in sewing, it helps to iron the seams down as you sew along. But more to the point: I wonder what keeps the squirrels from biting a finger or hand? This has me curious. It would seem that she'd better always have treats or the squirrel might think her finger was one. Guess I don't know anything about squirrels, their intelligence or lack of. Such an adorable video!!

@ Nikolyn ~ we have a really small place so the ironing board is kept on the back deck. Doesn't anyone own an ironing board anymore? What do you do with wrinkly clothes? I probably only iron a couple of times a year but still...

BTW, to discourage the squirrel from removing more fluff from my ironing board cover (which is pretty much destroyed now anyway), I put some cotton balls next to her yesterday when I gave her some seeds. She took all of them.
