Description
When I hang around real wine people, I realize how little I know about the subject. So many elements go into wine making it is staggering. It's a world of it's own with it's own jargon. Varietals, clones, soil types, climate, blending, aging........it goes on and on. Primativo is apparently the old Grandpa of varietals, grown all over the world, but probably originating in the region of what is modern day Croatia and Italy. I am a bit jaded in this opinion, but I think the wineries in the Paso Robles area make some superb Zinfandels which acquit themselves splendidly when up against any in the world. These wineries also make great places to show your artwork, especially when the subject is..........the wine grape.
