Description
A high pinnacle in the Blue Ridge Mountains allows a scenic view back towards The Black Mountain Range in Western North Carolina. Mount Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi, lies within the Black Mountain Range. Catawba Rhododendron decorate the high mountain landscapes with their pink/magenta blooms during late spring.

Lots of interest throughout this view, from the flowered foreground and forest to those foggy mountains. Very beautiful view!

Thank you, William! I love this view over to the Black Mountains! It catches side lighting and the height of the mountains almost always creates some interest and clouds :-).
