Description
As the title indicates; this is my muse. This is Jim. He encourages me to paint and does everything to help me with that enterprise. He inspires me in all things. He is a gentle kind man. He is tall, lean, and handsome. I am a most fortunate woman.
I liked that he was sitting quietly studying the view out the back sliding glass door. He was sitting at the dining table watching an osprey fishing over the lake. The shaded sunlight lit his face. As always, he had a twinkle in his eyes. He has beautiful clear blue eyes. His hair is growing longer. Since we are all quarantined because of the novel coronavirus pandemic, we haven't been able to get haircuts. His full beard and hair are a steely gray. I used a grayish green for the background.
A slow drying acrylic paint was used. It is quite transparent. For this reason, I painted in many layers to build up the depth.
This is an acrylic painting on Museum series panel clayboard. Archival seal. 3/4” premium 23 ply birch plywood cradle offers extra support. Ultra smooth clay surface. Archival and acid free, the patented kaolin clay ground is applied to a non-warping premium hardboard. 16” by 20” cradled 3/4”.
