Description
An early evening on Flat Lake in the south-western corner of Labrador,Canada, where we had set up our living tent on a small peninsula thrusting out into the lake. The almost constant breeze made for refreshing sleeping, as well as keeping the hordes of mosquitoes at bay. Our survey work depended upon clear skies as the aerial photography had to be halted as soon as the billowly summer clouds started to build up and obscure the ground. As a result, we could usually quit the survey work just after noon, and come back down from our mountain-top site and enjoy some leisure time and a bit of fishing.
This was taken in the summer of 1953 with an Exakta 35mm.SLR and Kodachrome film, ASA 10. The slide was scanned in 2004 with a Canon 4000 dpi scanner.
