This is the most beautiful painting! I feel lucky and blessed that I came across it! My husband and I honeymooned in Mo’orea and we had taken many pictures in front of this church. To find that Greg Collins painted it was such a joy! We will treasure it forever!

I was super-pleased with my photo print purchase! Like many people, I’m sure, when making online purchases there’s always just a little voice of skepticism in the back of my mind. I knew I liked the image, but had to roll the dice that it would look good in person, the frame would be adequate, etc. I must say it exceeded even my hopeful expectations! First of all, the packing was stellar. The photo print did look great in person, and the framing was WAY better than I was expecting! It was ready to go with a sturdy hanging wire already in place. Unfortunately it was a gift, so I don’t have a photo of it on my wall! I did, however, open and inspect it before wrapping it and re-shipping (in the same stellar packing!). I would easily recommend FineArtAmerica and will happily shop with them again in the future…worry free!

Artist's Description
Homeless At The Crossing by Sabrina K. Wheeler
Homelessness is the condition of people without a regular dwelling. People who are homeless are most often unable to acquire and maintain regular, safe, secure and adequate housing, or lack fixed, regular, and adequate night-time residence. But it is much more complex than just a simple definition. A home is not just a physical space: it provides roots, identity, security, a sense of belonging and a place of emotional well-being. They carry their few possessions with them, sleeping in the streets, in doorways or on piers, or in another space, on a more or less random basis. Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted 10 December 1948 by the UN General Assembly, contains this text regarding housing and quality of living: Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social...
About Sabrina K Wheeler
I was born in a small mountain town but spent most of my childhood in states surrounding Washington, D.C. I am now transplanted to the sunny state of Florida. Everyone in my family is an artist of one sort or another. My mother sang professionally for a bit and loved sketching and ceramic painting; my father is a scientific linguist, teacher, singer-songwriter and plays piano beautifully. My siblings all have artistic talent of one type or another. Ancestors who came and went before us all excelled at resourcefulness, a skill which is rooted in creativity. As a youngster, I expressed my artistic nature by writing, playing guitar and singing; as a young adult in fiber arts, crafts of all sorts and in photography. While I have always...

A sad plight .. & brilliant of you to do this, Sabrina! You are right about the passage in the Declaration that we are all entitled to a roof over our heads. The butterflies here .. reflect the Hope that things will change in a more positive direction one day, for all those like this gentleman :))
