This weathered building façade was seen on a main street in a town not too far from Palermo Sicily. This was undoubtedly a once beautiful building, especially with the graceful balcony above. One can imagine the colorful flowers that once adorned this balcony, like so many others in the town. It makes you wonder what causes a building in a middle of a town to be abandoned and suffer the consequences of time and weather. From the tragic to the mundane, from the personal to the societal, there are stories to be told about these abandoned buildings.
