This weathered window and building façade was seen on a main street in a town not too far from Palermo Sicily. Despite the run-down appearance, you can still make out behind the screen a candle and a memorial for a loved one who has passed. It was not uncommon in Sicily to see posters and small altars to memorialize those who had passed and to memorialize the anniversary of a death. It would probably not be a stretch to imagine that many of the deaths were covid-related.
