We feel Artists with 2-5 years practice in Photoshop, beginning with a blank canvas, can do very well. Just as they do with other mediums like oil or acrylics. Photographers with experience in Photoshop who practice I believe can become artists. Bought Yarnell's DVDs he promotes on his website,on mixing colors and several others, in 1992 when getting back into painting and practically memorized them. :) Then applied what was learned in Photoshop since Ver I, along with what I learned in seminars with Ansel Adams and Edward Weston, etc... applying that to painting... Of course there are a few others like Louis Sylvia we studied with for five years one of the top ten Marine Painters with work in places like the Louvre, etc. Earl Daniels from Laguna Beach who taught us for five years. :)
