Hahaha. I can't remember what this is...what is a 365 project?
I'm guessing...make art everyday?

Im currious as well...one a day? what do you do with it? Is it to benefit a cause? is there a web site? thanks

One a day is a reasonable goal. I have many photos I've never edited, so I think I can manage one a day. If I were an oil painter working on a large landscape, well, no way. But I'm not, so ... onward and upward. I will only post what I consider successful, which could be nothing, lol, but at least it's heading in the right direction.

I am a goals and committment kind of guy (the committment part is very rare), but I can pledge one a day even though i only do photography on weekends

Well the first of January is nearly over so let's get going...........
365 days....365 artworks, or stories or a mix...... You create one thing every day, for one year
First one today...... They don't have to be masterpieces as you can see by mine

Today, so far, I have made three new Valentines Cards, just cause, and uploaded one new image and this was all after the company left that was here for New Years dinner

Okay, I'm in!
Day 1
I'm a sci-fi fan, and recently I've been working on depicting ideas of what alien life might look like.
In other places of the universe, what if flowers grew in ways we had not thought of? What if there were gardens of flowers that grew with music? Different kinds of music grows different types of flowers. This is my abstract contemplation of that.

Doesn't quite fit the criteria but here's one of my daily projects ...
i have this large work that sits in middle my studio and it will probably do so for a few years. i doodle on it at various times or when just walking by something may grab my attention and i'll pick up a brush, pencil chalk or whatever and add or bring out what caught my attention at the moment...
It's 6 feet by 71/2 feet and will probably never be complete until i abandon it...
i have made a first attempt (sorry it's a bit slow) at filming the work for a YouTube 'Show and Tell'...

Great idea. I'm always better with specific goals. I'll try to keep on with it, since I usually work on my photos in the evening anyway. Here's my first one.
I've been getting frustrated by the limits of my camera to achieve what I want to do. So lately I've been reworking some of my best photos with a digital manipulation program. Despite how this one looks, it actually started as a picture of a firework exploding. This program is a lot of fun and very addicting, so my challenge is to post pieces that are unique and interesting rather than just everything that comes out of the program.

Okay...one idea is to depict or connect to a list of words, here's a link:

I found a fb page for it, maybe ideas there?

Is this being run on Eastern United States time?
Can they be photographs?
Do they have to be taken on that day or uploaded on that day?

Hahahaha, wow you are specific. I'm not sure what the answers to your questions are but I'm going to guess approximately the day of, yes they can be whatever you want and uploaded that day.
If it's uploaded that day...and you edited it that day...it would make it a new creation. The point is to do something creative everyday and share it.
This one is a photo challenge:

By the way, 2016 is a Leap Year so there are 29 days in February, bringing the yearly total to 366 (project) days.
Or do we get a day off on 29th February, 2016?

I did one in 2011 using this website. It was really great!

I was thinking of trying to upload a photo a day here. I'll give it a go!
January 1, 2016:
I went for a walk on the beach with my daughter. I can't seem to stay away from the ocean for very long. It is always beautiful but today it was very cold!
Happy New Year! :)

OK.... we're getting nicely up to speed; after having just made the midnight Eastern time deadline.
I'll be on the road today but just have time to present my daily offering.
Uploaded January 2nd, 2016
Two Cuban ladies walking down Cuba Calle in Havana, Republic of Cuba.
Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean, and the second-most populous after Hispaniola (Dominican Republic and Haiti).
Havana features some wonderful Spanish colonial architecture within its 16th-century core, Old Havana.
Paint may be peeling off the walls and street lights don't always work but there are plenty of photo opportunities for street photographers with an eye for the candid shot.

Leap year? The one time that ladies may ask their men to marry them? Hmmmmmm wonder if I want to get married...... Have to leave that thought for nearer the time.
Ok Angel is correct....it can be anything creative you have done EACH DAY (that day) of this year
Video, learning, playing an instrument, drawing, videoing, taking a photo, writing something, even taking time out daily to read something, Etc
Put what you did here with explanation for that day
Even coming in here, every day, to tell us something you have done that day, is a 365 challenge here
You can start at any point of the year but must do it for 365 days (366)

I have decided to do a Photo A Day Challenge where you are given a daily prompt and take a photo that fits and then share on the FB or Instagram group. I think it is aimed at scrapbookers and many of yesterdays images were camera phone "snaps" but some were obviously taken by more serious photographers with some wonderful creativity.
I am hoping to kick start my creativity, improve and widen my skills and hopefully take some images that I can eventually offer for sale here.

The Challenge for Jan 1st was Black and White. It was another dull and damp day here, but we finally had a frost and I was able to grab a couple of frosty leaf shots before it melted. No other photography time as I have, as usual, left all my schoolwork and housework until the last couple of days of the holidays :)
Abbie......how can I show my images in a post here without loading it as a piece of art on FAA and having to put it in a private gallery?.......tried repeatedly to paste an image and failed!

Huge Congratulations to those who have stuck with this challenge. Happy New Year too!
So, after 366 days I HAVE managed to post a Photo A Day on the FB and Instagram Pages. Over 90% have been new images with the rest "archive" shots. I haven't posted too often here as many of the shots are not FAA quality and the time factor of uploading has been against me.
I have loved having a creative focus every day, especially when dealing with the stresses of our ongoing building project. I have loved seeing images posted from around the world and the huge variety of interpretations for each prompt.
I have learnt a huge amount and feel I am improving my photography and editing........So I AM going to continue for a second year.

Congratulations - Debbie that is totally amazing. And to you too Mo. I started late and still have a while to go. I will complete it, but maybe I shouldn't post here as I would be the only one left. I will continue on my own pages - gallery 365. Have loved looking at your photos.
