Facebook Page Photo Carousel

For those who don't know, on the status updates of your Facebook pages there is a feature for a photo carousel where you can post a link from an online gallery; FAA or AW for example, and add a few images from your computer as well.

Greetinigs Jessica, thanks for posting this valuable tool, I will save it for future use. I check it out on your other comment in another discussion. It looks great on your FB page very effective.....the free shipping. would you or anyone else know what is it I include for images posted to Twitter to take advantage of the free shipping, I might be able to generate a sale or two, thanks for the help.

Cheers, Michael Hoard

@Jessica -- That's a nifty feature; thanks for the heads up!

@Michael -- There's no code or anything required, so I'm just posting text that says 'FREE SHIPPING 11/30' and adding a picture.

@Wendy, thanks for that information I did exactly that, both from tweets from FineArtAmerica and tweeting from my account post using AW site.

@Jessica, thanks again for the tip I will certainly try it out. Redesigning a photographers FB page, good information.

Thanks Jessica! I was just thinking about wanting to do something like this. I've recently created a series of four of the same image but with individual backgrounds. It should work well for this.

Jessica-love the feature and wish to use it, but mine doesn't exist for carousel-Pressing on photo/video only shows only a box for ( Upload Photos/Videos) and a box for (Create Photo Album)-Any ideas???

I don't know why but it's not working for my FB page :(

All I can do is to add one link and it gives only one image or "sorry something went wrong"... I don't want to upload images from my computer but I want to add more (than one) links to images. When I add home page from my profil link it still gives one image or error...

Mike, this feature is for Facebook pages only, not your profile. Arletta, it will work better if you link to one gallery. If you link to your website then you have to upload from your computer. There are boxes where you can upload from. I think it allows five images.

Mike....go to the front page of your FB business page...not your personal page unless you only have the one page.

Just below the cover photo...on the right hand side...you will see:

Status Photo/Video Life Event

You will have 3 options..

click on the Create a photo carousel option

It will ask for the destination URL. Select one of your galleries to feature from your artist website.

Copy the URL into the space and click on the right pointing arrow...

You then upload whatever pics you want from your computer. (Make sure they are available on your website)

When you are done.. click on Publish.... and Presto!

A lovely slide show of your work

No Mike..it is a FB thing.

Go to your 'home' page.

On the left hand side of that page, midway down you will see "create page"

Select your category and follow the path from there...

Many thanks Jessica and Karen and all else involved-I am pretty much overwhelmed on a local fundraiser, let alone the constant improvements I am attempting to reference throughout my site. I will get around to it, but maybe not before the snow starts flying. Appreciate your feedback. Totally forgot about that portion of face book. It will definitely be addressed as soon as possible. You have something that not too many knew about, but can help many. Wholehearted thank yous and Hugs for the Holidays!! . :)) :) :))

Advice please

I want to create a FB photo carousel and see how and where to do it. I actually have only two images that I want in it. They are in a gallery with many many other images. I thought of creating a temporary gallery just for those two and using the link to that and then uploading the two images from my hard drive. But now when I delete the gallery in a day or two (which is what I would want to do), the link will go bad so that doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Maybe I should simply upload those two images and include a link to my AW or to the large gallery that they are in as I usually do.

Accidentally I've found some clever trick how to do carousel without need of handly picking the images...
When you create a post (with link to your blog or something else where images are) on your FB wall do the whole text copy (ctrl C, before you publish it), refresh the page and paste (ctrl V) the text you were going to publish again. It will load all needed images into carousel automatically ;)

Think it would be much better than groups of photos on FB. It is true most people don't look at it.

Thanks for the info Jessica. I will give it a try.

Thank you, Jessica, that was really easy. It took me longer to actually find where to do it :)
