Very useful article, thanks.

I registered wtih CaFE, but need to decide how much time and when to put into it.
The file sizes for uploading are very controlled. 10 MB max...etc....

Also I do not want to put a price on my art as an original. I make digital files that vary in printing size.
That does not work well from what I am seeing with CaFE.

Cafe is a terrific artist resource for calls of entry. I have been with that site many years and most of the entries are free. Also, it has many public art opportunities that are supported with grants and percent for art projects nationwide. The calls can be national, regional or local. Also you can change the list so it shows days to deadline. I have had my work in a number of national juried shows thanks to CAFE.

Also, many states have a public site dedicated to art promotion. In New York a good resource is NYFA.

Your welcome Marlene. It is not for everyone, but it can't be beat in terms of potential opportunity for some. Example is a recent college opportunity for a renovation. Can anyone here use over $100,00.00 ? Maybe!
