So..did The Frame And Mat Options Change With The Pillows Too!?

This is a little hard to tell but I noticed recently that a frame option or more is gone and one or more mat options too? No...I wasn't expecting to be 'informed' although it could have been a stickie, if we had stickies!

If a frame or mat is sold out it disappears from the collection until back in stock

Couldn't they just put an "out of stock" label there instead of not showing it at all? Some buyers may have used a particular frame/mat that they want to continue to design theme with. If they don't see it anymore they may think it's no longer available and feel they have to change. With an "out of stock" at least they know they can wait until it is restocked and continue with their design theme later.

Good point Carolyn

It has been like this since day one, so I doubt it will change.. quite a few years now

With all due respect, Abbie, why would it not change just because "it has been like this since day one"? If a better way of doing things is found along the way (since day one), wouldn't we want to do it the better and more profitable way?

amen, Carolyn...if there is nothing telling me it's out of stock or I can have the option for it to be a back order, I'm gonna head elsewhere to purchase.
I wonder what pictureframes.com does .....

I was wondering what would happen if somebody had an out-of-stock frame or mat in their cart. Would a message then come up to indicate it was out of stock?

That's a problem as people put items in their cart for later purchases. Could be weeks before they are ready to buy.

As a data junkie I'd love to see those cart numbers. Fantasy I know.

That's what I meant, Ed...putting something in their cart for later purchase and then returning much later to find the frame or whatever is no longer available. I wasn't too clear in my original post. Anyway, what would happen in that case?
