Hi. Can anyone suggest a good mirroreless camera for under £350/ $500? I plan to build up a lens collection, so I just want something reliable and good value for money really. Cheers.

A little more than you quoted but the Sony a6000 is right in that ball park, it is a crop sensor camera, but 24 MP, that is what I am planning on buying for a backup to my a7r...once I get over the sticker shock of the lenses I just bought for it.

Thanks for your comments guys. Not really able to buy quite yet but will bear in mind the A6000 although I think it's gonna be a bit too much for me. Thanks for the offer Steven.

I'd second the a6000 - it's a good system camera, and they're already appearing on the secondhand market for a lot less than brand new

Thanks Mark. What do you think about the A5000?

Well I still love my Panasonic GX-1
These are available fairly cheaply now.

I have the a6000 and really like it, Also you can use all types of adapters for other types of lenses, Here is a good video that talks about it

The new Olympus really does look good. The whole sensor shift trick is interesting, but I'm not sure that it is really truly needed. After all, it's simple enough to take the photos yourself and then have PhotoShop or numerous other programs handle the stitching.

For Canon and Nikon shooters. When considering a mirrorless switch. Some of the mirrorless cameras you can (with an adapter) use your Canon and Nikon lenses. I think BH Photo sells the adapters but I don't remember which camera brands they sell the adapters for. Seems like one brand may have been Sony.
