Faq Fail: How Much Of A Sale Do I Receive?

(I tried searching the FAQ, so if I missed it, feel free to just reply with a link.)

I'm just getting started on FAA, and I'm curious about pricing and profit sharing. If I list a print of my fine art painting for $100, what will it actually list for and how much will I make when one sells.

Thanks in advance for the help.

You price your own mark-up. FAA handles the rest including handling and framing, etc. Prices will always vary depending on size, etc. Out of the example you listed above, you'll make $100.

You will also make a commission on framing, matting and finishes. There is no "profit sharing" as you mark up your own profits.

the price you enter is the amount you get. the site adds on the extra stuff.

so if you list it at a $100 (that's your profit), the site tacks on it's profit, and if they choose a frame or stuff like that, you get a percentage (if you paid to be here). and that's it.

Am brand new to FAA. My big question - does it work?

does what work?

enter rainbows and get art? yeah, sure, but it depends on the quality of the rainbow.

i've made plenty of sales, but you have to advertise and have good stuff.

Does it work? Depends on what you mean. Does in market for you the individual artist? NO! You must do your own marketing. You will see various FAA commercials and features as FAA markets itself. So if you want to sell, upload good quality images and get out there and promote your work!

Elisabeth;

The first step in whether it works or not is loading some images.

The question isn't whether FAA works, it's whether you're willing to work at it.

FAA is a print on demand service and selling platform, and they offer a whole lot of great features to help an artist sell work. You have to promote yourself and recognize that quality work that is presented well and marketed by the artist consistently has the potential to sell here.

Yes it works. We print images you sell.

Do we promote you? If you become a top seller then we may push you out on a few newsletters but that will be it. This site is not an agency so if asking if we do that, no, it does not work.
