6 of one, half dozen of the other.

You have a clever name to work with, stay with that. You could go with Andrus Photography to shorten it.

You have a unique sounding name, I'd stick with it, too.

I second what Melissa said. Andrus Photography sounds very professional.

If you are only selling your own work, then the name should have your name in it and it should be short as possible for marketing purposes.

Easy to remember, easy to type, promotes your name because it is your brand and makes for a shorter url for making link and a shorter email address.

If you do a lot of online marketing, this will save you a lot of time and typos. The typos from you side but also from the buyers side.

I like Melissa's idea but I would mostly use the Andrus Photography, keeping it as short as possible.

I used to use FrameHouseGallery for everything. I can't tell you how many times I have had to repeat that over the phone and then still get people call and say, I must of wrote it down wrong because the email I sent you keep coming back.

I now use FASGallery and it works much better.

That would be my thinking for what it is worth.

Thank you so much! Now that you all mentioned it, I like Andrus Photography too! It has a nice ring to it.

Hi Gregory, Personally I think you have a great name and would use it. I agree with Floyd that if you are selling only your own work.... stick with your own name. I choose to use Val Arie partly by accident and partly because my full name is never spelled correctly. Now I think it was a mistake as it is too short and I don't think it searches well...but I guess I will stick with it as changing now would probably be like starting over.

Thank you for the nice compliment Val! Thanks Mike. I was concerned that using Gregory Andrus Photography would be generic. Maybe it's the "photography" part that feels generic for me. Maybe I will go with Gregory Andrus Creations.... I don't know. I appreciate everyones feedback, its really helping me as I get ready to start marketing big time in January.
