Faa - Not So Good For Cooking?

Does anyone else have the problem of becoming so absorbed in the multitudinous inspirational discoveries on FAA that they lose track of time and space, completely forgetting that dinner's on the stove or burning in the oven?

Fourth time this week! :(

Sounds like someone could use an intervention. ;-)

Yes.

I blame it on the electric stove. Glass top. You can turn the knobs down but it'll take forever to cool ... thus burning dinner.

You're free to use that excuse if you like.

: ))

Around my house, when the smoke alarm goes off, everyone knows it's time to eat.

This is why I try to remember to set a timer.

If I had a dollar for every time I've forgotten about my coffee perculator bubbling away on the stove......!

timers can be easily tuned out when you're in the "artistic zone."

oh, don't look at me like that. You know it's true.

Set your radio alarm to the most annoying channel you can find. Make sure the sound is turned up and it is across the room. It helps. I know.

A timer has become a necessity...also had to replace our tea kettle that was missing the 'whistle' after I burned it while either editing or being here. We have a new whistling kettle now. It's right screechy too!

Burn baby burn! So it goes for me sometimes because the timer on the microwave only beeps once (I haven't figured out the stove timer yet) and if I am involved with my art I often don't hear it!
