Your Eye's And Comments/critique

Something I seldom ask for, but I've not done this sort of thing before. This is a photograph I took on our drive out through the country today. We came to a sign that said "pavement ends" and continued down this graded road. the trees overhead made a tunnel - at the end of the tunnel was a white frame house with a green roof. The image just lacked something - but I thought maybe a little painterly effect might do the trick. What do you think? Does it 'work'?

the image is lacking drama and light. if the trees were autumized, it would look better. mostly its all green. i would clone out the fencing on the right, the house in the back. only up close does it look vaguely like a painting. but a painter wouldn't have that much detail. and they wouldn't add the wire fencing. the painting effect itself doesn't look like paint, it looks more like digital camo.

mostly though this has no focal point. too much shadow.
