Great Search Feature! Thanks!

I appreciate the (newly?) implemented search feature. I do not recall seeing it, even just a few days ago, and surmise it went into place with the most recent changes. Either way, thank you very much for continually improving things.

To add: I love how it pulls from the keywords of the main image, too!

I mentioned this new addition this morning on this existing thread about the changes:

http://fineartamerica.com/showmessages.php?messageid=2087686

I don't know if I was the _only_ one who suggested it or not, but it is part of a suggestion I put on Andee's list a few weeks ago. Love seeing it in action. So much easier for the customer to drill down to see what else a given artist has.. If you click on the links under those additional works, you're taken to search results just for that artist, either for that keyword or all their work depending on which part you click on.

Great suggestion, Mark! Got any others up your sleeve?

I was playing with this earlier... So cool

Nothing to add right now but it's exciting to see even part of a suggestion show up, though I still hope maybe part 2 of the last request might be waiting in the wings one morning. ;-)

A few years ago I suggested a 'view in a room' feature for each artwork page. Maybe day we'll see that implemented, too. That would be cool!

I'm missing something. Where do you find a new search feature? The one where I search within my portfolio looks the same.

On the main search Lynn.

OK...So we're talking the drop-down with the "Key Word + Artist?"

BTW Jeffrey...I drove down L.A. Ave & passed Preferred Glass yesterday. Made me think of you! :-)

Preferred Glass, my old stomping grounds!!!

Lynn, just do a simple search... tree, for example. You'll see the new feature on the results page.

i think i suggested something like this, but only to reduce people dominating certain words, so more people can get their foot in the door. i do wonder how many buyers will see it. it would be nice if they could click the background to release the box. hitting X each time (especially on a phone though i haven't tried), will get tiring.

lynn when you do a search , and you see the artists name there is a arrow pointing down. it will show 6 matches, and 6 new things you just sent. and your avatar.

You get different results when you search something unspecific such as tree as you do when you search more specifically such as 1956 vw bug and it appears that the results also depend on the frequency of works with the same keywords.

Yes, I love it....looking forward to some additional website candy, so to speak.

O.K...now I've checked it out! Very cool!! I have no idea if this is what has made a difference with my sales...but, things have definitely been picking up for me lately!
Thanks, Sean!!

Oh, yes, that is very cool! I did a search for "tree" and it came up as you described. When I searched for "purple hydrangea," however, it did not. Well, that makes sense. Too specific.
