I would just like to share my latest commissioned oil painting. The subject matter and size of the canvas (20 inch x 20 inch) presented some new challenges for me.
Also, my customer was very laid back and simply wanted a close up painting of a cow in bright colours. So, I had to get the photograph and edit it to create that close up perspective that was desired. I don't usually paint, draw or photograph this sort of subject for my own personal gallery, and usually my commissions are portraits of people and pets, or paintings and drawings of buildings.
I am very happy with the outcome and I believe this commission has helped to expand and improve my practice.
