Missed you too Roger :) Here's a piece based on Her Royal Divaishness, our Lucky cat -- 17 years with us this year -- came calling as a feral kitten.

This is not a very high resolution image, because of heavy cropping, but I removed a bird feeder on the right of the bird, to the top of the frame, and added a blended background over the feeder with a content aware fill, added the flower, and did some manual blending of the flower to beak interface. I tried to size the flower close to the right proportions in regard to the bird. I used Topaz Adjust Photo Pop with slight adjustments to brighten colors and increase contrast in the resulting composite image.
For comparison, here also is the same bird, a shot within seconds from the image above, processed much the same way, but with an additional layer of topaz simplifiy "buzsim" to give it a slightly posterized look while maintaining good detail, and also kick the color way up to the "ridiculously intense" levels I sometimes like. You see why I almost always remove the feeder!

3D Stereo Crossview:
Gently converge (cross) your eyes and focus on the middle image that appears while ignoring the outside. (Not everyone is successful with this method of "freeviewing" however, if you are successful, it becomes easier each time and eventually 2nd nature!)
3D Stereo Anaglyph:
For those who have Red/Cyan filtered 3D glasses, you can view the anaglyph format here...
2D (Not 3D Stereo)...

This image is a 3D Stereo Anaglyph, meant to be viewed with Red/Cyan filtered 3D glasses. It is a fractal related composite of two designs created through the freeware "Chaoscope", and further manipulated and aligned via StereoPhoto Maker. Viewed through the appropriate 3D glasses, the image incorporates a "Through The Window" effect which further enhances depth perception...
Further composite manipulation produced this rendering...
And finally this approach when I entered my first FAA contest looking for an icon for their group...

Being a lifelong photographer and my knowledge of working in production darkrooms, the art of sepia tone was achieved in the dark room of a film processing because of modern advances by manipulating an original its not as time consuming and more effective in the final product. This is one of my favorites, I have achieved the effect desired in this photo.
What was achieved in the past while working in dark rooms such as exposure controls, dodging effects, while the photo was being processed you could use a hand held object to achieve certain effects during he processing, presently with modern advances in the filming industry you are in control of the photo with sliders to control the desired density of colors and contrast.

@Lee, on the lower right hand side of you image page, you will see an image link, highlight, select all, copy. Then go to the discussion, and right click and paste it. It will look like HTML, but when you submit, your photo will appear!

Lee if you can highlight the image link try going to edit and copy it there then paste it here

Thanks David but what I was saying is that once I hightlight the image link I have no copy function from my mouse as I would normally have with right click. Likewise the left click is totally deactivated. Any suggestions? Im thinking it is because I am still a "free" member and have not yet upgraded, which I will be doing shortly. I wanted to be sure this was a site I really wanted to be involved with.

Lee, it doesn't matter that you're at Free status.
Try highlighting the link, then go to the menu at the top of your browser and choose Edit - Copy. Then come here and choose Edit - Paste.
Easy, peasy! :-)

okay now Im totally confused, lol, but that often doesnt take much. After I highlight in FAA there is NO menu at the top, just the address bar beginning with http: Are you saying I need to close FAA?

Havent been here for a few weeks as busy moving house, but these images added are really top quality. This has turned into a great thread, hope it continues.
@Lar Matre - That is an amazing coincidence...very similar pictures but also very different.
