Dan,
That ad was not their original idea. They worked with Farm.com to create the ad. You can see the orginial here...

I told you the "So God Made a Farmer" commercial should get the prize of the century!

And here's a link to the Paul Harvey commercial. Whatever ad agency came up with this one should be nominated for the prize of the century.

One good thing: at least it wasn't on Fox Sports. None of those childish, amateurish transformer-like animations covering 25% of the screen, jumping around distracting and obscuring. When you see pros at work, it really illustrates just how amateurish Fox Sports productions are.

You are soooooo sentimental, Hal :-) But I admit: It's a very touching commercial, almost as good as Bud's.
Congrats to the Ravens, although I cheered for the Niners. Hats off to them!

M favorite commercial was the one featuring the voice of the late Paul Harvey narrating “God Made a Farmer” for a Dodge Ram commercial

Congrats to the team and all the fans, it was a good game, and the lights going out that indeed changed the momentum of the entire game. All the new commercials were funny, seemed very busy. I liked the one of Oprah though it was a sponsored by Jeep, that alone would have been a great commercial and Oprah speaking without the commercial compnay attached to it.

Well gosh almighty and shiver me timbers but the Ravens were triumphant.:) I have to admit this was an exciting Super Bowl and the best team won. My brother, who lives in Baltimore County called me tonight and said that his neighbors are setting off firecrackers and people are marching up and down his block raving about the Ravens. I'm very happy for them but all I have to say is....wait until next year, you will see. My Giants will be making a comeback.:)

Gregory, what a beautiful bird. when I lived out in the desert in CA - I did a couple of paintings wit Ravens.

Yes, Harold, they beat our Patriots in the Super Bowl. :) Not once, but twice and ruined our perfect season in 2007. That is why I want Randy Moss to get a Super Bowl ring. He recently stated he still hasn't recovered from that loss.
Seriously, though...the Giants deserved to win both of those games. The Patriots were not on their game.
Enjoy the game, commercials, halftime and good food everyone. Thanks, Michael.

@Dan....... No need to repeat what Janice said, but when we enter these discussions, we often open the galleries of those who participate and comment on their work. As we feel more comfortable with those we "meet' in these discussions, we are more likely to open up dialogue or discussions pertaining to those galleries or to art in general. I had never been to your gallery before. Your work is magnificent. You are a talented photographer. If the social side of FAA is not for you, please don't bring a bah humbug to the conversation. Just join in and enjoy the ride or skip over the mundane. Life is way to short.
@Hal......the Pikesville area. I am a transplant from Harrisburg, PA. where I raised my children. My husband has lived here all his life.

I didn't mention that I am a NY Giants fan. You know who they are don't you? They are the World's Champions - at least until sometime tonight. Because of how they won the Super Bowl last year, I'm good for at least 5 years. :)

Hiya guys,
The reason I want the Ravens to win is I lived in Baltimore until I was 27 years old. I grew up in East Baltimore (Highlandtown) when The Baltimore Colts were the football team of choice. Unfortunately, I'm think the 49ers will win, I am rooting for the Ravens.
Arlene, where in Baltimore do you live?

GO RAVENS!! (I have to say that or chance a divorce.) lol Seriously, I live in Baltimore, so the Ravens are my team.

Oh man...I'm a Lions fan...yes, I said it out loud. I just keep thinking - someday? That disrespectful "hard handshake" by the Niners coach with the Lions' coach after a great and close game - and the fact that he was a U of M quarterback and I'm a Michigan State fan makes me say - GO RAVENS!

Wow Janice that sounds fantastic enjoy your labor of cooking and the game. Bon Appetite Cheers Michael

I woke up Jake the wonder dog this morning & showed him 2 pictures. One of a 49er helment, and one of a Ravens helment. He took a leak on the 49ers and went back to bed.
Coincidence? ..... I think not .

After Katrina, this Super Bowl is good for New Orleans and its people. Lots to celebrate. Another thing I love about Super Bowl Sunday is the food. I'm preparing baked stuffed shrimp for dinner. I made a chocolate cake with mocha frosting.
Love sports in general.
Gregory, your excellent photo of the raven reminds me of Dan Fogelberg's "As the Raven Flies"...good rock song.

I became neutral when the Broncos lost to the Ravens. I'll just be enjoying the game today.

Baltimore
1. I used to live in the DC area and although I was in Virginia, Maryland is a part of the MD/VA/DC triad - and I like the Orioles
2. I saw a TV show once about a very nice man whose name I can't recall, but he wound up with the Ravens - whether he
is still with them or not I have no idea, but liking him made me like the team.

I am sorry the Seattle Seahawks did not make it to SB-47. San Fran is in our general area so they have my pick today.

Well I am a Pittsburgh Steeler fan but I am rooting for the Ravens! Because: as a dog lover and advocate - most of these guys are dog lovers - rescue dogs and are advocates for animal welfare - there are a lot of good guys on this team - so that's my take on it!

I, too, am a New England Patriots fan. Sorry to the Raven's fans, but they remind me of a bunch of thugs. I dislike them more than the Jets especially that arrogant bigmouth Terrell Suggs. Therefore, I'm rooting for San Francisco to win. I would like to see Randy Moss get a Super Bowl ring.
With that said, I wonder if there would be a sequel to "The Blind Side" if the Ravens won. Michael Oher is playing in his first Super Bowl.

Heather, that doesn't make any sense because if I was a Patrioit's fan, I would want the Ravens to win. Why?? Because then I could say, no wonder the Patriots lost to the Ravens...look at how good the Ravens are, I would hate to think that my team lost to a second rate team. :)

My take is based on my own experience. The Niners coach is the guy I loved to play for...fiery,emotional...one of us!! Hooorahh
BUT, the Ravens coach is the guy I won championships with..calm,collected,cerebral...grace under pressure coach.
My pick=Ravens
