Photography has been part of my life since receiving my first camera a Kodak Brownie when I was still in grammar school. When I was a teenager my father taught me the fundamentals of photography including all of the darkroom techniques. For several years I have read the publications and studied the work of many outstanding photographers: Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Robert Capra, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Dorothea Lange and others. Recently I have begun to exhibit my work and have received acceptances and awards. I have used these experiences to refine my work and continue to develop my techniques and a personal style.

A wide range of subjects from landscapes to macro images is part of my efforts.
I do all of my own film developing, printing and finishing work. I have a complete darkroom in which I do a full range of black and white photography, In collecting my images I utilize 35mm, medium format and large format equipment. Exposures are based upon the Zone System fundamentals
Recently I have expanded my photographic endeavors to include digital images and digital printing of my work.
My inspriation to continue comes from a lovely Lady who came into my life at a time that I was dealing with a difficult illness that could have ended my life. Her love and support has sustanined me and made the autumn of my life happy and fulfilling.
